Do You Remember…the Aztec?

Welcome to the second edition to this series of Do You Remember…? Maybe you read our first instalment, hopefully you’re here looking for a similar nostalgic fix. This week I, Tom, have been researching about a lost chocolate bar made by the famous Cadbury’s.

SO, who remembers the Aztec?

No not the ancient civilization, from Central America and Tenochtitlan, but the chewy milk chocolate bar launched by Cadbury’s in 1967.

Marketed by Cadbury’s as the answer to rivals Mars’s own Mars Bar, a nougatine and caramel bar covered in a velvety Cadbury milk chocolate.

Being born in the late 80s these delightfully sounding, no doubt diabetes inducing, bars were faded out in 1978. Again another piece of confectionery that I have not been lucky enough to enjoy. There have been myths circling the internet, suggesting they made a very short return in 2000, but like their historical counterparts they disappeared forever.

The Sweet Scoop

Here at The Sweet Scoop, we have some nougat including Pink & White, Tutti Frutti and Almond Nougat. (Is it pronounced nou-gah or nugget, comment below). If you are looking for out other blogs, you can find them here.
